This policy explains what we collect when you book a taxi with us, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It applies to this website and to bookings made by phone.

What we collect

When you make a booking we collect your name, phone number, email address, pickup and drop off addresses, travel date and time, and any flight details or special requirements you give us. If you add a note for the driver, we collect that too.

We do not collect or store payment card details. Payment is made directly to the driver at the end of your trip.

Why we collect it

To dispatch a driver to the right place at the right time, to contact you if something changes, to track your flight if you have given us the number, and to send your booking confirmation. That is the whole purpose.

Who we share it with

Your booking details are passed to the driver assigned to your trip, because they cannot complete it otherwise. Where a booking is billed through Cabcharge, TAC or TAC, the details required for that claim go to the relevant scheme.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties for marketing.

Address lookup and mapping

When you type an address into our booking form, that text is sent to Google Maps to suggest matching addresses and to calculate the distance and route for your fare. This is what makes the fixed price possible. Google handles that data under its own privacy policy.

How long we keep it

Booking records are kept for as long as we need them for accounting and tax purposes, which in Australia is generally seven years. After that they are deleted.

Cookies

This site uses cookies only where they are needed for the site to work, such as keeping your booking form state while you complete it. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles.

Accessing or deleting your information

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@taxitomelbourneairport.com.au or call 0460 306 061 and we will action it.
