The car stays with you
Some days are not one trip. A morning of meetings across the city, a day of inspections, a wedding, a funeral, a parent visiting specialists. Booking each leg separately means waiting for a car three or four times and paying a flag fall each time.
Hourly hire keeps one vehicle and one driver with you for the whole block. They wait while you are inside, your bags stay in the car, and you are not standing on a kerb between appointments.
How the blocks work
- Three hours is the minimum. That covers most real days: a round of meetings, a medical appointment with travel either side, a half day of inspections.
- Six hours suits a full working day in the city, or a day trip out to the Yarra Valley or the Peninsula.
- Full day for weddings, events, conferences and anything where the schedule will move.
The rate is flat and agreed when you book, the same way every fare on this site works. Tolls are included. If the day runs over, additional time is billed in thirty minute increments at the same rate you agreed. There is no after hours premium and no surge.
What it suits
- Corporate days. Several meetings, one driver, no app hailing between them. Cost centre reference on a single invoice rather than five separate claims.
- Client and executive visits. Someone flying in for the day who needs a car for the whole visit rather than a pickup and a hope.
- Medical appointments. Particularly where a specialist runs late and a return trip cannot be booked to a fixed time.
- Weddings and events. Guests, family and the schedule that always shifts.
- Regional day trips. Wineries, the Peninsula, the Dandenongs, with the car waiting at each stop.
What you can expect
Your driver arrives early rather than on the minute, so the block starts when you are ready to leave. They stay with the vehicle between stops and are reachable directly for the whole day.
Cabcharge, TAC and NDIS are accepted on hourly bookings the same as any other trip, and corporate accounts are invoiced monthly.
Booking one
Hourly hire needs to be arranged by phone rather than through the online form, because the vehicle is held for your whole block and the schedule usually needs a conversation. Call 0460 306 061 with your date, your start time and roughly how long you need, and we will confirm the rate before anything is locked in.
